Refund Policy
We would rather resolve a problem than argue about a refund. This page sets out how we handle it when an engagement does not work out.
Last updated 1 August 2026
Monthly retainers
Retainers are billed monthly in advance and run on a rolling basis with 30 days' written notice from either side.
Because work begins at the start of each period, fees for a month already underway are not refundable. Giving notice stops the following month's invoice.
If we have not delivered what was agreed for a given month, tell us. We will either complete the work or credit the shortfall against the next invoice.
Annual prepayments
Where you have prepaid annually at a discount and choose to cancel mid-term, we refund the unused months, recalculated at the standard monthly rate rather than the discounted annual rate. The discount was consideration for the commitment.
Refunds are processed within 30 days of the cancellation date.
Project work
Fixed-price projects — websites, brand identity, CRM builds — are invoiced against milestones set out in the statement of work.
If you cancel mid-project, you pay for milestones completed and for work in progress on the current milestone, assessed proportionally. Amounts paid for milestones not started are refunded.
Deposits cover onboarding, discovery and scheduling. They are non-refundable once discovery has begun.
What is never refundable
- Media spend paid to Google, Meta, LinkedIn or any other advertising platform — this goes to them, not to us.
- Third-party software subscriptions and licences purchased on your behalf.
- Third-party production costs already committed, such as photography, video shoot days or influencer fees.
Performance and results
We do not offer refunds on the basis that marketing results were below expectation. Outcomes depend on factors outside our control, and we are explicit about that before any engagement starts.
What we do commit to is delivering the agreed scope to a professional standard. If we have not, that is a service failure and we will put it right or refund it.
How to raise a refund request
Email info@pulpscaledigital.com with your company name, the engagement concerned and what has gone wrong. We will acknowledge within two business days and aim to resolve within ten.
If we cannot agree, the dispute resolution provisions in your signed agreement apply.
